lip augmentation

about lip augmentation

Lip fillers across Newcastle & the North East are becoming an increasingly popular treatment and it’s important to seek out an expert in the field. Using precise placement of dermal fillers our medically trained aesthetics practitioners will create your perfect pout.

Dermal filler can be used in the lips to augment the shape, definition, ratio & size; to restore, rejuvenate and enhance your natural lip shape. Fine fillers can be used to smooth out ‘smokers lines’ or ‘lipstick bleed lines’ in more mature lips, whilst avoiding the dreaded overdone look.

At novellus we only use premium brands such as JuvedermTeosyalAliaxin and Neauvia.

With any and all facial aesthetics treatments our experienced medical team will produce bespoke treatment plans in your consultation which take into account factors such as preferred gender, ethnicity, you specific anatomy etc.

technical information

The current generation of lip fillers lasts around 8-10 months on average, with the results visible immediately after treatment.

Whilst our unique techniques reduce the incidence, initial swelling lasting around 48 hours may be visible. The final result can take around 14 days to fully develop as the filler absorbs and retains water, and any residual swelling settles over this period.

Lips are best built up slowly over a period of time to avoid injury to the delicate lip tissue and ending up overdone. Discomfort is kept to an absolute minimum by the use of a dental nerve block; tiny injections inside the mouth that completely numb the lips, combined with anaesthetic within the filler itself.

It’s normal to be able to feel the product within the lip initially but this should settle over the first couple of weeks. As our clinic director regularly says ‘lumps are not normal’; they do happen on occasion and if there is any issue with your lip filler then we are more than happy to see you back in clinic in Newcastle Upon Tyne to fix any problems… In fact, we are developing a reputation for repairing lip filler work.
